Dr. Manoj Bhargava, MD, Orthopaedic Surg

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Manoj Bhargava is Specializing in knee, ankle and shoulder surgery working at the Sports Centres and the Osler Centre (Formerly the Etobicoke General Hospital). Dr. Bhargava is a graduate of Yale and comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Working with the National and Provincial Soccer Training Centre athletes. Was an on call surgeon for the U20 FIFA world cup 2007.

Registered Massage Therapist

George Bourne, BSc, RMT,  is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario specializing in sports rehabilitation, recovery and strengthening.

 

Starting his professional journey in England and in addition to his kinesiology degree, George was a certified personal trainer and youth soccer coach, becoming a trusted and dedicated member of his community sports teams. Sports and wellbeing has always been a huge part of George’s personal and professional life, juggling a variety of sports practices from an early age and to a competitive standard.

 

His personal journey in sports, combined with years of education and specialist training means that each of his client’s benefits from an individually tailored treatment plan that is goal-based and gets efficient results by incorporating a variety of customizable massage techniques and approaches.

Ms. Christina LeBlond is Specialising in paediatrics and a full time staff nurse at McMaster Children's Hospital. Christie has provided her expert assistance here at the Sports Centres for over 20 years and helps with the management of patient accounts.

Dr. Robert Gringmuth, DC, FRCCSS(C), FCC

Chiropractic Sports & Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr. Robert Gringmuth, DC, RCCSS(C), FCCPOR(C), treating high performance soccer athletes over the past 23 years. Providing expert diagnostic assessment, treatment and conditioning programs. has worked with players of the Toronto Maple Leafs and was designated as the official sports chiropractor for the NHL visiting teams to Toronto for one season through the Sports Medicine Specialists in 2002. He also played a leading role with the health care team of the Toronto Phantoms Professional Arena Football Club owned and operated by the Toronto Blue Jays for 2 seasons.

Coordinator of health care services for the Toronto Blizzard Soccer Club, The Toronto Shooting Stars Pro Indoor Soccer Club, The Toronto Lynx Soccer Club, The Ontario Soccer Associations "Team Ontario", Toronto Thunder Hawks Pro Indoor Soccer Club and the National Training Centre - East for the Canadian Soccer Association. Providing Acupuncture treatment (current) and Certified in Active Release Therapeutics (1997).

Part of the official medical committee of the FIFA U20 World Cup 2007 of the Toronto Site.

Chiropractor working with Sports Injuries

Dr. Andrew Habib, BSc, DC, graduated from McMaster University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He pursued further education through the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 2015. He has taken a special interest in sports injuries, providing therapy as part of the medical team within the Sport Injury Rehabilitation Centres. Through the Sports Injury & Rehabilitation Centre, Inc., Dr. Habib provides on-field chiropractic care during Ontario Provincial Development League games, as well as with various soccer tournaments and events around the greater Toronto area.

Certified Athletic Therapist

Sarah Newman graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a Honours degree in Kinesiology and a graduate of the Athletic Therapy Degree at Sheridan College. Became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2007.

Worked with Laurier Men's Varsity Hockey team, National Kickboxing Team and has been a part of the medical staff for the Canada Games and numerous Ontario Games.

Currently working with the Sports Centres to provide on field care for the Provincial and National training Programs.

Sarah has also assisted with on field emergency medical care during numerous international soccer events over the past year with the Sports Centres.  AS part of the Medical team positioned at the Oval Dome in Richmond BC during the skating events she brings the Sports Centres to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Paol Pacione, High Performance Specialis

High Performance Specialist

Paolo Pacione is the Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Ontario Soccer Association as well as Milan Academy here in Vaughan.

Paolo has worked with many athletes on both the amateur and professional level. Recently one of his former athletes has played in the recent FIFA World Cup in Germany for Trinidad and Tobago - Densil Theobald.

Now back with us after being away working with Faenza Calcio in Italy, Paolo is working with many of our upcoming stars representing our country at the international stage.

Paolo is a graduate of York University and has maintained a working relationship with them providing fitness testing and working closely with the Strength and Conditioning Department.

Sports Medicine

 Dr. Rahim Haji, BSc, DC, MD, earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in psychology from the University of Calgary and then went on to complete the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He worked as a Chiropractor for 4 years in multidisciplinary rehabilitation settings where he treated numerous musculoskeletal injuries in amateur and professional level athletes. Following this, Dr. Haji studied medicine at Saba University and completed his Family Medicine training at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Haji has a diverse array of interests within family medicine including chronic disease management, general medicine, addictions medicine, men's health, mental health, immigrant/refugee health, preventative medicine and sports medicine. He has worked with numerous sports teams and hopes to continue working with athletes of all ages and levels. He is also is a lecturer and part time staff at the Scarborough Health Network, where he lectures on diverse topics such as sports medicine, general medicine and addictions medicine, and also trains medical residents from the University of Toronto. He has completed additional training in medical and cosmetic aesthetics and hopes to incorporate this into his existing practices.

Dr. Mohammed Bayegan, BSc, DC, 
Graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College 2011, Masters candidate at the University of Western Ontario 2011-now.  On field health care provider through the Sports Centres for the OSA Region 1 program in London, Ontario and at the Vaughan location with the provincial athletes.
